Minutes of Chapter Meeting
September 14, 2004 Meeting at Lane Aviation,
5:30
Opening:
The Board held a meeting at 5:00pm prior to the Fall Kickoff. The
following topics were discussed and later presented to the
membership at 6:30pm after dinner.
*Solicitation of corporate membership.
*Sponsoring Jeff Gruber to Alexandria, VA to the PAMA National board
meeting-Give your vote to Jeff for election to the national board of
directors.
*Scholarship award of $800.00 for Marc Johnson.
*How to promote national membership, encourage people to join and
focus on national issues.
Announcements:
Louie will be gone for the October meeting--Jeff Gruber will
preside.
Lowell Dowler was asked if he would consider running for chairman of
the COPAMA Board. (No commitment at this time) More information on
next year's elections will be available soon.
Roger Olsen is encouraging everyone to get involved in and support
the FAA's safety program. This looks like it will soon be a fine
source of information for all mechanics and pilots. Check out and
register yourself at www.faasafety.gov
.
Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University provided information encouraging maintenance
technicians to consider the value of advanced college degrees. See ERAU's web-link
on the "Announcements page".
Presentation:
Tdata sponsored the Fall Kickoff meeting with a terrific dinner and
pig roast, followed by an excellent presentation on their software
products designed for aircraft maintenance tracking and Regulatory
