Opening: Louie talked about the success of the December meeting and thanked everyone for their support; He reminded everyone about the PAMA Tool Box raffle and solicited help with the sale of tickets. Let him know if you can help; Also, Louie advised us of the new chapter web-site that will be hosted by John Clem and supported by the very capable abilities of Marnie Sablan. The new address is http://www.copama.org. Check it out!
We would also like to welcome new members Scott Walton, George Gaines and Wm “Howard” Ruble. Nice to have you aboard.
Presentation: Tom Heid with Aerospace Welding gave an excellent presentation on muffler and exhaust system component distress and failure, and offered timely counsel on airworthiness standards and inspection techniques. If you missed the meeting, you missed a good one! Attendance was nearly 50 people!
Scholarship Awards: Through your membership participation, professionalism and contributions we are proud to announce your support for the scholarship fund and awards of $3245.00 in January and a total of $4595.00 to date. The latest recipients were Michael Allwein, Andrew Basch, Bradley Buff, Christopher Boggess, Jason Fink, Keith Jones, Elaine McLaughlin, Bernard Pluth, Shane Taylor, Thomas Thibault, Steve Turin and Scott Walton. Congratulations folks, and we look forward to working with you in the industry.
Thanks: Gene Sprang personally thanked the membership for the support and participation that the students receive from the Central Ohio Professional Aviation Maintenance Association.
